Kano State Deputy Governor, Murtala Sule Garo, has received a delegation of youths and social media influencers, including old APC members from across the state’s 44 local government areas, who visited his office to express appreciation to Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf for allocating land to them.

During the visit, the youths commended the state government for the gesture, describing the land allocation as a significant step toward empowering young people across Kano State.

Speaking while receiving the delegation in his office today, Thursday, the Deputy Governor expressed delight over the development, noting that the allocation of land to youths was a positive and encouraging initiative.

“The exercise was conducted in strict adherence to established procedures, and for those yet to benefit, they should exercise patience and be rest assured as they would be included in subsequent allocations”

“Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf’s administration remains committed to ensuring that all eligible beneficiaries are accommodated” He explained.

The Deputy Governor also cautioned beneficiaries against selling the allocated land without genuine justification, advising them to make proper use of the opportunity for its intended purpose.

He further assured the delegation that he would convey their appreciation to Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, whom he said deserved commendation for the initiative and his commitment to youth development in the state.

Speaking earlier, the leader of the delegation, Comrade Salman Rabiu Gwarzo, speaking on behalf of the youths, said the visit was to express gratitude to Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, through the Deputy Governor, Murtala Sule Garo, for the gesture.

Comrade Salmanu Gwarzo said youths from the old APC had contributed significantly to the progress and success of the party across the 44 local government areas of Kano State.

He recalled that Governor Yusuf had continued to recognise and accommodate members of the old APC, beginning with councillors and extending the gesture to youths who, he said, played important roles in strengthening the party at the grassroots.

He also appreciated the Deputy Governor for facilitating the land allocation, noting that a significant portion of the land was allocated to beneficiaries in the Dawanau and Panisau layout areas.
