Kebbi State Governor, Dr. Nasir Idris, has distributed 225 motorcycles to councillors across the 21 Local Government Areas of the state.
The governor made the presentation on Monday at the Government House, Birnin Kebbi, describing the gesture as part of his administration’s commitment to strengthening grassroots governance and enhancing service delivery.
He said the motorcycles would ease transportation challenges faced by councillors, enabling them to effectively discharge their responsibilities in both their offices and constituencies.
“This support will go a long way in reducing hardship, especially for councillors serving in remote areas.
“I have promised that my administration will continue to uphold transparency, accountability, and democratic values in governance,” he said.
Governor Idris commended the councillors for their dedication and contributions to the achievements recorded by his administration and urged them to remain committed to serving their constituents.
