Russian President Vladimir Putin says elements of a draft peace framework discussed between the United States and Ukraine could become the foundation for future negotiations to end the war.

Speaking in Bishkek, Putin revealed that Washington and Kyiv had broken down a 28-point proposal into four sections during talks in Geneva, and that Moscow had been briefed on the discussions.

He clarified that no formal draft agreement exists yet, only a list of issues under review by all sides.

Putin said the topics were previously discussed with U.S. negotiators before his trip to the United States and were later forwarded to Moscow.

Highlighting the need for precise diplomatic language, Putin noted that Russia is prepared to offer written assurances — including guarantees that it will not attack Europe — if Western nations request them.

However, he cautioned that it is too early to speak of any final deal.

An American delegation is expected in Moscow next week for further consultations, signaling continued efforts to explore a possible path toward peace.
