Niger State Governor, Mohammed Umaru Bago, has inaugurated a newly constructed 5-kilometre township road in Sarkin-Pawa, Munya Local Government Area, as part of his administration’s ongoing 556-kilometre statewide road development initiative.
Speaking at the ceremony on Monday, Governor Bago said the project’s swift completion reflects his government’s unwavering commitment to infrastructural development.
He assured the people of Munya of continued delivery of democratic dividends and urged them to turn out en masse to vote for the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate in Saturday’s State Assembly by-election.
On security, the governor commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the National Security Adviser, and security agencies for their collaboration with the state in restoring peace to the area, which has long suffered from insecurity.

He also praised Senator Mohammed Sani Musa for his complementary development efforts under the “New Niger” agenda.
Deputy Governor Yakubu Garba outlined other achievements of the Bago administration in Munya and called for sustained public support for the APC.
Senator Musa described the road as a vital boost to socio-economic activities in the predominantly farming community and encouraged residents to show appreciation by voting APC in the upcoming elections.
The project contractor and consultant confirmed that the road was built to specification and would serve the community for generations.
In goodwill messages, Speaker of the Niger State House of Assembly Abdulmalik Sarkin Daji, Federal Lawmaker Ismaila Musa Modibbo, former House member Abdullahi Riko, APC State Chairman Aminu Musa Bobi, and Emir of Minna, Umaru Faruk Bahago all applauded Governor Bago’s commitment to rural development and pledged continued support.
Other completed road projects across the state will be inaugurated in phases.
