Grammy-winning Nigerian artist Tems has been announced as one of the performers at the upcoming FIFA Club World Cup in the United States.
She will make history as part of the first-ever halftime show at a FIFA tournament, sharing the stage with global stars J Balvin and Doja Cat.
The performance is being organized in collaboration with FIFA and Global Citizen.
Tems’ inclusion in this landmark event highlights her growing influence as a global music sensation.
This won’t be her first appearance at a major international sporting event—she previously joined Burna Boy and Rema for the historic Afrobeats halftime show at the NBA All-Star Game in 2023.
The year 2025 is already shaping up to be significant for Tems.
During a recent concert in London, she announced that her sophomore album is slated for release in 2026.
Her debut album, Born In The Wild, released in 2024, achieved massive commercial success and further cemented her place in the global music scene.
The announcement of her FIFA performance came just hours after Tems was honored with the Billboard Diamond Award at the Billboard Global Power Players event.
Fellow Nigerian artist and rap icon Olamide also received recognition at the ceremony.
Tems’ Billboard award underscores her growing dominance, particularly in the U.S., where she continues to rise as one of Africa’s most successful musical exports.
She also recently earned a Gold certification from the RIAA for her hit single Love Me Jeje, adding to four new RIAA certifications she received earlier this year.
These achievements solidify Tems’ position as one of the most decorated Nigerian artists internationally, continuing her meteoric rise on the global stage.
