Kano State Deputy Governor, Murtala Sule Garo, has extended his warm felicitations to Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf and the entire Muslims Ummah on the occasion of the Islamic New Year 1448AH, calling on the faithful to uphold the values of peace, unity and devotion to Allah.
In a message to mark the beginning of the new Hijrah year, Garo encouraged Muslims to reflect on the lessons of the migration of the Prophet Muhammad (SAW), which he described as a source of inspiration on faith, sacrifice, patience and steadfastness.
He urged the faithful to renew their commitment to the teachings of Islam and continue to promote understanding, brotherhood, unity, and peaceful coexistence in their communities, a statement by Lurwanu Idris Malikawa Garu, Public Relations Officer, Deputy Governor’s Office, disclosed.
The Deputy Governor noted that the Islamic New Year offers an opportunity for spiritual renewal and reflection, and called on Muslims to pray for sustained peace, progress and prosperity in Kano State and the country at large.
Murtala Garo also prayed for Allah’s guidance and blessings throughout the year 1448AH and wished Muslims a peaceful and rewarding Hijrah celebration.
“May Almighty Allah accept our prayers and grant us goodness, peace and prosperity in the year ahead,” he prayed.
He further wished the Muslim Ummah a blessed and fulfilling Hijrah, while encouraging them to continue nurturing the values that promote harmony and togetherness in society.
The Deputy Governor equally urged citizens of Kano State to utilize the public holiday declared by the State Government to pray for sustainable, peace, stability and for the success of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf’s administration.
