Kebbi State Governor, Comrade Dr. Nasir Idris Kauran Gwandu, has been honoured in Mecca, Saudi Arabia, for his commitment to the welfare of pilgrims from the state.
The award was jointly organised by Service Providers for this year’s Hajj operations in Mecca.
Presenting the award on behalf of the service providers, MD Musharik Azzahabia, Muhammad Sultan, commended the Kebbi State Governor for his support to the state pilgrims.
He said: “The companies are proud to be associated with the Kebbi State Government in providing services to its pilgrims.”
The Managing Director also commended the Chairman of the Kebbi State Pilgrims Welfare Agency, Alhaji Faruku Aliyu Yaro Enabo, for his hard work towards the success of this year’s pilgrimage.
Receiving the award on behalf of the Kebbi State Governor, the Chairman of this year’s Hajj Government Delegation, former Comptroller General of the Correctional Service, Jafar Ahmed-Jega (Rtd.) commended the service providers for the honour.
The chairman was accompanied by the Chairman of the Kebbi State Pilgrims Welfare Agency, Faruk Aliyu Yaro Enabo, along with some members of the government delegation.
The Governor described the award as a great honour not only to the governor but also to the good people of Kebbi State.
According to him, this shows that the Chairman Pilgrims Welfare Agency is up and doing in the job assigned to him.
Governor Idris assured the state government’s commitment to supporting Hajj operations for the welfare of the pilgrims.
In his remarks, the Chairman of the Kebbi State Pilgrims Welfare Agency, Faruku Aliyu Yaro Enabo, commended the Kebbi State Governor for what he described as total support given to him to diligently serve the state pilgrims.
The award was jointly organised by three companies: Musharik Azzahabia Visa Providers, Shuraka’ul Haira, providers of accommodation and feeding, and Daleel Al Mu’aleem Transport Company.
The occasion featured a night dinner and the presentation of the award.
