The Amirul Hajj, who is the Emir of Gaya, said he is satisfied with the quality, healthy of the food and its richness.
According to a statement on Monday by Mustapha Muhammed, the Head of the Kano Media Team, Hajj Operation 2026, the Amirul Hajj appealed, after he and his team were taken round to the kitchen of the Food vendor, Da’am Almawasem Nima Kitchen Company to see step by step how the food is being prepared before taken it to the pilgrims.
“I am convinced of how hygienic the food is before it is taken to pilgrims; we are calling for the vendor to sustain it; not be like eye service,” Amirul Hajj has said.
The Deputy Amirul Hajj, also the Emir of Karaye, Muhammad Muhammad Maharaz, called on the vendor to keep supplying food in good time as there were complaints here and there on the late delivery of the meals.
On his part, the Chairman of the Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board, Alhaji Yusuf Lawan applauded the vendor, Da am Al Mawasem Nimi Kitchen Company and warned them to justify the confidence reposed in them by upholding the trust.
Sheikh Aminu Ibrahim Daurawa, the Commander General of Hisbah, commended the efforts of the food vendor but also advised them to if possible hire someone who can cook traditional soup known in local Hausa language “Kuka”, a powder originally derived from baobab tree.
Earlier on, the Chief Executive Officer of the Da’am Almawasem Nima Kitchen Company, Nur Idris Saleh, while welcoming Amirul Hajj and his team, informed him about the food they cook and the stages it went through before meals were taken to the pilgrims.
