The renovation of eight classrooms at Government Secondary School (GSS) Unguwa Uku, Unguwa Uku Ward, and the construction of a new Islamic School at Kofar Gidan Baba Umar in Kauyen Alu Ward, both in Tarauni Local Government Area of Kano State, have been completed.
The projects were executed by the Member representing Tarauni Local Government at the Kano State House of Assembly, Hon. Kabiru Dahiru Sule (ADS), as part of his ongoing efforts to strengthen educational development across his constituency.
Hon. Sule disclosed this while briefing the Local Government Information Officer, Adamu Iliyasu Hotoro, where he reaffirmed that education remains the bedrock of societal development.
He explained that his decision to prioritise both Western and Islamic education aligns with the development agenda of the Kano State Governor, Engr. Abba Kabir Yusuf, and the national leader of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso.
According to the lawmaker, the projects form part of his campaign promises aimed at improving the standard of living of the people, particularly children and youths, by strengthening education at the grassroots level.
Hon. Sule further reiterated his commitment to the execution of people-oriented development projects across various sectors to enhance the overall welfare of residents of Tarauni Local Government Area.
He expressed appreciation to Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, the Speaker of the Kano State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Jibril Ismail Falgore, the Commissioner for Education, Dr. Ali Haruna Makoda, the Chairman of Tarauni Local Government, Ahmed Ibrahim Muhammad Sekure, and the leadership of the NNPP in Tarauni Local Government for their support and cooperation, which he said have contributed to the successful implementation of developmental projects across the ten wards of the local government.
The lawmaker also urged members of the public to continue supporting and monitoring government projects to ensure sustainability, transparency and accountability.
