In a landmark humanitarian intervention rooted in corporate social responsibility, BUA Cement has on Monday flagged off a transformative empowerment program aimed at training 60 graduates from its host communities in the operation, maintenance, and repair of heavy-duty machinery.
The six-month intensive training initiative is designed to provide young men and women with hands-on technical expertise in operating excavators, tippers, and other industrial equipment tools that open the door to stable employment and lifelong self-reliance.
At the official launch held at the company’s facility, Plant Director Engr. Aminu Bashir, who represented the Managing Director/CEO, Engr. Muhammad Haliru Binji, described the initiative as a humanitarian mission to combat poverty and unemployment among youths in BUA’s host communities.
“This is not just a training programme. It is a rescue mission.
“We are giving hope, dignity, and a future to these young people.
“This is our duty not just as a company, but as a partner in building a better society,” Engr. Bashir declared.
He further noted that BUA Cement will offer permanent employment to top performing trainees upon completion, with a monthly salary
