The Kano State Police Command has announced the conclusion of the Police Constable Recruitment Screening Exercise, held at the Police Officers’ Mess, Bompai, Kano.
In a statement issued on Saturday by the Command’s spokesperson, CSP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, the Commissioner of Police, CP Ibrahim Adamu Bakori, disclosed that the exercise, which began on 9 March, ended on Saturday, 18 April 2026, without any security breaches.
According to the statement, the screening was conducted in strict adherence to the guidelines set by the Nigeria Police Force and the Police Service Commission.
The process was carried out in two phases, comprising physical screening by the police team and credentials verification by the PSC team led by Ibrahim Maikudi.
The Police Commissioner commended the head of the recruitment team, Habibu Rabiu, alongside other officers, for their professionalism and dedication throughout the exercise.
He also appreciated the support of the Kano State Government through the Guidance and Counselling Board, the State Police Community Relations Committee led by Ali Hassan Tudun Bayero, and the Federal Character Commission team headed by Garba Mohammed, noting their roles in ensuring transparency and accountability.
CP Bakori reiterated the directive of the Inspector-General of Police, Olatunji Rilwan Disu, that the recruitment process is entirely free of charge.
He cautioned applicants and the public against fraudsters seeking to exploit the exercise, urging that any suspicious activity be reported to the nearest police station.
The Command further praised the orderly conduct of candidates and the cooperation of parents, guardians, and the general public, noting that adequate security measures were maintained throughout the period.
With the screening phase concluded, the Commissioner congratulated all candidates who participated successfully and encouraged them to remain law-abiding while awaiting further updates on the next stage of the recruitment process.
The State Police Command reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining a transparent recruitment system aligned with global best practices and the Nigeria Police leadership’s vision.
