The Malam Madori Local Government Council in Jigawa State has provided 19 free shuttle buses to convey boarding students back to school in compliance with the state government’s directives regarding the return of day and boarding students to schools.
The effort, a key part of Governor Umar Namadi’s 12-point agenda, is prioritizing quality education and the smooth commencement of the academic session.
Salisu Sani Garun-Gabas, the Council Chairman, disclosed this to the Local Government Information Officer, Musa Muhammad Hadejia.
He said 18 to 19 buses were hired to transport boarding students free of charge to various schools across the state on Sunday morning.
Garun-Gabas urged the students to be good ambassadors, remain diligent in their studies, and work hard for excellent academic outcomes.
Abba Maigoro, the Personal Aide to the Council Chairman, confirmed that since Sunday morning, buses had been conveying boarding students from different parts of Malam Madori to their respective schools.
