eHealth Africa has officially released its 2025 Annual Impact Report. The report revealed  major milestones in expanding immunization coverage across Nigeria and reaching underserved communities with equitable access to healthcare through scaled digital health solutions.

The 2025 Annual Impact Report titled “Scaling Digital Innovations To Save More Lives”, is a testament to our commitment to save more lives using data-driven health solutions. This is evident in the deployment of geospatial technology and our in-house PlanFeld digital solution to expand vaccination reach to drive tangible gains toward universal health coverage.

One of the major highlights of the report was the strengthening of last-mile vaccine delivery and cold chain resilience, with a total of 5,477,540 vaccines and 2,935,775 units of dry commodities delivered directly to health facilities. This life-saving intervention led to the immunization of at least 1,802,609 children, directly contributing to the prevention of vaccine-preventable diseases and improved child health outcomes. Through its Vaccine Direct Delivery Intervention, eHealth Africa ensured uninterrupted access to essential immunization supplies and reduced stock-out risks at service delivery points.

Additionally, eHealth Africa established and upgraded six Public Health Emergency Operation Centers across Africa, while providing operational support to 11 Emergency Operations Centers (EOCs) in Nigeria. The EOC functions as a live coordination nerve center integrating surveillance data, laboratory reports, field intelligence, and partner updates into one real-time decision-making platform.

During the year, the organization also completed the construction or upgrade of five laboratories and successfully handed over all facilities to host countries, directly strengthening national ownership and sovereign diagnostic capacity. Supported laboratories included the Institut Pasteur de Côte d’Ivoire, National Microbiology Laboratory, National Institute for Communicable Diseases, and the Kenya Medical Research Institute, amongst others.

eHealth Africa also achieved a scalable footprint in renewable energy for primary healthcare, including the solarization of 238 Primary Healthcare (PHCs) facilities across 12 states, addressing a critical systemic gap by restoring dependable, renewable power at the frontline of care. PHCs are now taking thrice the deliveries they usually take, while more children are now getting vaccinated as a result of renewable energy-powered cold chain facilities.

In his remark as contained in the report, Executive Director of eHealth Africa, Atef Fawaz, revealed that 2025 reflects the organization’s strong resolve  to save and protect lives. He said, “The year provided an opportunity for eHealth Africa to evolve from a project partner to a trusted systems operator and leader in the digital and public health space”.

In 2025, we made significant strides in improving access to quality healthcare services across Nigeria. Through targeted interventions and innovative technologies, more people were able to access life-saving care”, he added.

While appreciating partners, staff, consultants, and donors at the regional, national, and subnational level, he added that, “in 2026, eHealth Africa will focus on disease-driven priorities, strengthen core health systems, support government-led scale, deliver measurable public health outcomes, and build systems that can scale across African countries”.
