Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has approved the constitution of a 13-member committee to coordinate activities marking the third anniversary of the Gida Gida administration in the state.
A statement issued on Friday by the governor’s spokesperson, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, said the committee is chaired by the Secretary to the State Government, Umar Farouk Ibrahim.
Members of the committee are Engr. Marwan Ahmad – Commissioner for Works, Dr. Abubakar Labaran Yusuf – Commissioner for Health, Dr. Dahir Muhammad Jashim – Commissioner for Environment and Climate Change, Dr. Danjuma Mahmoud – Commissioner for Agriculture and Natural Resources, Dr. Gwani Ali Haruna Abubakar Makoda – Commissioner for Education
Others are Hon. Abduljabbar Umar Garko – Commissioner for Land and Physical Planning, Hon. Abdulkadir Abdussalam – Commissioner for Rural and Community Development, Hon. Adda’u Lawan Kutama – Special Adviser, Cabinet Office, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa – Director General, Media and Publicity, Hon. Abdullahi Ibrahim Rogo – Director General, Protocol, and Hajiya Nana Asma’u Jibrin – Director General, Research and Documentation
Muhammad Jalo, Permanent Secretary, Research, Evaluation and Political Affairs (REPA), will serve as Secretary of the committee.
The committee has been mandated to organize a befitting programme to commemorate the administration’s third year anniversary and showcase achievements recorded by the present administration.
Governor Yusuf will inaugurate the committee at 3:00 pm on Friday, 22 May 2026, at the conference hall of the cabinet office.
