The suspects, Yahaya Atta and Mas’ud Abubakar of the Diplomat Area, and Mustapha Mohammed of Emir Yahaya Area, were arrested for allegedly attacking a commercial tricyclist and stealing his vehicle.

The incident occurred on October 13, 2025, around 9:00 p.m., after the suspects reportedly hired the victim, Usman Babangida of Kofar Taramniya, for a trip to Dambuwa Roundabout.

Following preliminary investigations, the suspects were charged to court for prosecution.

The Commissioner of Police, Sokoto State Command, CP Ahmed Musa, commended the investigative team for their professionalism and prompt action.

He reaffirmed the Command’s commitment to eliminating criminal elements and ensuring the safety of residents.
