The Government Day Senior Secondary School Tahfizul Qur’an, Dantamo in Malam Madori Local Government Area has graduated 47 students who successfully memorized the Holy Qur’an during its annual ceremony.
According to the Head of the School, Malam Umar Hashim, this year’s set comprises 45 females and two males.
He noted that the institution organises the graduation ceremony every year to honour students who complete the memorisation of the Qur’an.
Hashim attributed the school’s continued success to the hard work and dedication of the teaching staff, whom he said have remained committed to providing quality Islamic education.
He also commended well-meaning individuals in the community for their contributions towards the school’s development, including the construction of classrooms, a mosque, and other structures.
The Executive Secretary of the Islamic Education Bureau, Jigawa State, Dr. Mubarak Abdulwahab Kafin Hausa, reaffirmed the government’s commitment to supporting the school.
He reminded the management of pledges made during last year’s graduation and assured that the state government would build a perimeter fence around the school to strengthen security.
Presenting a trophy to outstanding stakeholders, the Emir of Hadejia and Chairman of the Jigawa State Council of Chiefs, Dr. Adamu Abubakar Maje Haruna, praised their unwavering contributions to the school’s progress.
He prayed for the graduating students and encouraged them to remain steadfast in their pursuit of knowledge for a brighter future.
Also speaking, the Chairman of Malam Madori Local Government Council, Hon. Salisu Sani Garun-Gabas, represented by the Leader of the Legislative Council, Abdulmuminu Ibrahim Mukaddari, reiterated the council’s promise to provide two-room apartments for newly married female graduates as part of its support to the school.
