Kano State Government has announced that all public and private primary and secondary schools across the state will begin their third term holiday on Friday, 25 July 2025.
This was disclosed in a statement on Wednesday by Balarabe Abdullahi Kiru, Director of Public Enlightenment at the Kano State Ministry of Education.
According to the statement, the holiday applies to both day and boarding schools. Parents and guardians of boarding students are advised to ensure early pickup of their children on the designated day.
Boarding students are scheduled to resume for the new academic session on Sunday, 7 September 2025, while day students will return on Monday, 8 September 2025.
The Commissioner for Education, Dr. Ali Haruna Makoda, urged parents and guardians to comply strictly with the resumption dates, warning that students who resume late may face disciplinary action.
