Isiyaku Ahmed

The Edo State Police Command has ordered the immediate arrest of individuals driving vehicles with tinted glasses and individuals driving unregistered vehicles and vehicles with covered plate numbers.

Edo State Commissioner of Police, CP Iwo Nemi, directives were contained in a statement issued to journalists on Wednesday by the Command’s spokesperson, SP Moses Yamu.

According to the statement, the strategy was meant to curb the rising cases of kidnapping, robbery, and cultism in the state.

While also directing that such vehicles be impounded, he warned that the law would be strictly enforced without exception.

The public is warned to desist from using such vehicles to avoid being arrested because the law is a respecter of nobody and no one will be spared.

CP Nemi appealed to the people in the state to cooperate with the police in its quest to ensure the safety of lives and property of the general public, especially during this period of the build-up to the election.
