The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps Kano State Command has reinforced efforts to safeguard critical national infrastructure, as the State Commandant, Mohammed Hassan Agalama, conducted an inspection visit to the Kano Main Railway Station to supervise the storage of removed rail line slippers evacuated from various locations across the state.

During the visit, Commandant Agalama inspected the designated storage site where the old railway slippers are being securely kept pending further action.

The exercise, according to the Commandant, was aimed at ensuring that none of the materials are lost, tampered with, or diverted.

He stressed that the Corps remains committed to the protection of critical national assets and infrastructure, describing such responsibilities as essential to national development and public safety.

“The Corps places high priority on the protection of all critical national assets and infrastructure for the overall benefit of the people,” he stated.

The head of the firm handling the evacuation of the railway materials commended personnel of the NSCDC for their professionalism, support, and cooperation throughout the exercise.

The inspection tour was accompanied by the Head of Department, Critical National Assets and Infrastructure (CNAI), DC Victor Bala, alongside officials of the Nigerian Railway Corporation.
