On Saturday, the National Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ) Sokoto State Chapter hailed the Sokoto State Governor’s Wife, Fatima Ahmed Aliyu, for her women empowerment programs.
The Chairperson of the Association, Comrade Aisha Mohammed, made the remarks while celebrating this year’s International Women’s Day in Sokoto.
She said NAWOJ Sokoto State Chapter, takes a moment to honour Her Excellency, Fatima Ahmad Aliyu, for her unwavering commitment to empowering women and girls across the state.
“Her dedication to the development of women is truly inspiring. Through various initiatives, she has consistently shown an unwavering passion for uplifting the status of women in Sokoto State.
“She is courageous and resilient in the face of challenges and serves as a beacon of hope for women everywhere.
“As a champion of women’s empowerment, Her Excellency has worked tirelessly to promote education, healthcare, and economic opportunities for women and girls.
“These initiatives have not only improved the lives of countless individuals but have also significantly contributed to the overall development of the state.
“NAWOJ Sokoto extends its deepest appreciation to the Governor’s wife for her relentless efforts in advancing the cause of women and girls, while ensuring that they are empowered to lead and excel in every sphere of life.”
