The Kano Civil Society Forum (KCSF) congratulates its esteemed Secretary General, Salisu Yusuf, on his well-deserved appointment as the Kano State Chairman of the Nigerian Cancer Society (NCS). 

This appointment is a testament to his unwavering dedication and significant contributions to health advocacy and community development in Kano State.

Salisu Yusuf’s extensive experience in the non-governmental organization (NGO) sector and his tireless work in championing crucial health initiatives have made him a respected figure in the state. 

His leadership within KCSF, coupled with his roles as CSO Co-chair of the Kano State Community of Practice for Immunization Budget Accountability and Sustainability, Secretary of the Kano State Civil Society Forum, and the Kano State-Led Accountability Mechanism, among others, demonstrates his commitment to improving the lives of Kano’s citizens.

As the convener of the Partnership for the Promotion of Maternal and Child Health, Salisu has consistently shown his ability to mobilize communities and build effective partnerships. 

This experience will be invaluable in his new role with the NCS, where he will undoubtedly play a crucial part in raising cancer awareness, promoting preventative measures, and advocating for improved access to cancer treatment in Kano State. 

His strong advocacy network and deep understanding of community needs will be instrumental in driving positive change.
