The Amirul Hajj of Kano State for the 2026 Hajj exercise and the Emir of Gaya, His Royal Highness Dr. Aliyu Ibrahim Abdulkadir, alongside his deputy, the Emir of Karaye, Muhammad Mahraz Karaye, today paid a sympathy and assessment visit to a Kano pilgrim receiving treatment following a bone dislocation injury.
The visit took place at Al-Nakheel Hotel, located in the Western Central Area of Madinah, where the officials met with the affected pilgrim and her caregivers to assess her condition and ensure that adequate support measures were in place.
According to a statement issued to newsmen on Saturday by the Pilgrims Board spokesperson, Sulaiman A Dederi, the pilgrim, Zubaida Rabi’u, a native of Zawaciki ward in Kumbotso Local Government Area of Kano State, reportedly sustained the injury after arriving at King Abdul-Aziz International Airport in Jeddah.
During the visit, the Amirul Hajj and his delegation offered prayers for her speedy recovery and prayed for Allah’s continued protection throughout the Hajj exercise.
The Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board reaffirmed its commitment to the welfare and wellbeing of all pilgrims from the state, assuring that Hajiya Zubaida will continue receiving proper medical attention at a hospital in Makkah until she fully recovers.
As part of immediate intervention measures, Dr. Aliyu Ibrahim Abdulkadir directed that all necessary welfare arrangements be expedited in Madinah. He specifically approved the purchase of train tickets for the injured pilgrim and her two caregivers to ensure a safe and comfortable journey to Makkah.
The Kano Amirul Hajj Committee reiterated its dedication to the health, safety, and welfare of Kano pilgrims throughout the 2026 Hajj operations.
