The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has scheduled 19 September 2026, for five by-elections across Bauchi, Delta, Gombe, and Kano states.
INEC’s Chief Press Secretary to the Chairman, Tunde Oketola, disclosed this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Tuesday in Abuja.
Oketola said the elections would comprise one federal constituency and four state constituencies.
According to him, the federal constituency election will be held in the Gombe/Kwami/Funakaye Federal Constituency of Gombe State.
The state constituency elections will take place in Disina and Sakwa constituencies in Bauchi State, Udu Constituency in Delta State, and Dawakin Kudu Constituency in Kano State.
He said the commission had concluded arrangements to conduct the elections on the scheduled date.
