Malam Aminu Ibrahim Ringim, a former Chief of Staff to ex-Jigawa Governor Sule Lamido, has criticized the book written by the former governor, titled “Being True To Myself,” describing it as full of self-glorification, misrepresentation, and disrespect for the contributions of others.
Malam Aminu made these remarks while commenting on the book, which was launched two months ago. The book contains Sule Lamido’s personal biography, as well as an account of his political career and public service.
The former Chief of Staff stated that from the beginning to the last page, Sule Lamido was busy praising himself, bragging, and portraying himself as a progressive and champion of democracy, when in reality, he was nothing but a coward.
“In his usual arrogance, Sule Lamido faulted virtually everyone mentioned in the book, accusing them of disappointing him, inconsistency, and other forms of wrongdoing” he said.
“I marvel at how he criticized respected figures like General Abdussalam Abubakar , the late Abubakar Rimi, General Babangida, and many others. Yet, he exonerated himself from any mistakes, presenting himself as a saint when, in truth, he is full of flaws.”
“As his former Chief of Staff, he accused me of being Witches, foreigners and unpopular candidates, yet we all know the role he played in PDP’s loss at both the state and national levels during the 2015 general elections”
” Lamido mentioned , in the book, ” I supported Malam Aminu Ringim gubernarorial candidature in 2015 because of his vast experience on governance and good organization, but after securing Jigawa state PDP tickets many party bigwigs in the state left the party for APC because of his unpopular attitude”
“How ever I knows as his chief of staffs i I tried to cover all his antics and shortcomings, including delibrate mistakes, I all bearer the burden, for him to get peace and have time to work for Jigawa, but now describing me as person with unpopular attitude, this is i ingreat.
Malam Aminu Ringim who was also NNPP gubernatorial candidates during the last 2023 general election added that, he saved Jigawa state in different capacity meritoriously and also his unwavering commitment to Lamido”s administration contributed imensily in achieving what ever was achieved in that 8 year of PDP administration in Jigawa state.
Malam Aminu then called on Lamido to review the book, acknowledge his own mistakes, wrongdoings against others, and seek forgiveness, if he truly has been “true to himself” as he stated in the book.
While reacting to comment the former Director Press to Governor Sule Lamido and current spokeperson of PDP jigawa state chapter Malam Umar Kiyari described Malam Aminu Ringim comments as a desparate effort to save his face from his negative, shameful and poor outing during the last general elections.
” if not for to put records in their rightful place. One will not have bothered to respond to the political yelling by the NNPP Gubernatorial Candidate in the 2023 Having realized that, he can never survive from the deep political grave he has dug for himself in Jigawa State.
, he has turned himself to a parochial liar, spreading all sort of baseless, malicious and unfounded lies against decent, patriotic and well-grounded politicians of repute particularly the former PDP Governor of Jigawa state.
Alh. Aminu Ibrahim Ringim who has been in the Jigawa state political arena since it’s creation and having held many positions could only score 37,156 votes as the candidate of his party, NNPP.
This poor outing or his dismal defeat in the polls has clearly affected his sense of political judgement
