Commissioner Urges Staff To Be More Committed to Duty

The newly appointed Commissioner for Environment and Climate Change, Dr. Dahir Muhammad Hashim, has urged the Ministry’s staff to step up efforts to ensure no stone is left unturned to make Kano cleaner and greener.

The Commissioner disclosed this on Monday while addressing the Monmouth crowd, which accompanied him to his new office as a commissioner.

He expressed delight at the warm reception accorded him by the Ministry’s staff and pledged to operate an open-door policy for maximum collaboration and synergy.

Dr. Hashim who earlier expressed his gratitude to Allah (SWA) for witnessing and achieving this milestone commended Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf for finding him worthy in this capacity and pledged to work assiduously towards achieving the organizational goals.

The Commissioner further enjoined the Heads of various departments to come up with a progress report and mandate of their departments for tracking purposes and a way forward he stressed.

Earlier, the Ag. Permanent Secretary who doubled as Director of Admin and General Services Adamu Fate Jigaware restated the readiness and willingness of the Ministry staff to support the Commissioner to succeed in his mandate.

The Chairman of Dala local government area Hon. Surajo Imam and the Chairman of New Nigeria Peoples Party, Dayyabu Ahmed Maiturare also spoke at the event.
