The newly established Benue State University of Agriculture, Science and Technology (BSUAST), Ihugh, has officially announced the commencement of its academic activities for the 2025/2026 academic session.
The university will begin with 51 foundational programs across 12 specialized schools as part of its first phase of development.
In a statement released by the university management, the institution will kick off its operations with pre-degree and short certification courses designed to prepare students for full-fledged degree programs.
These initial courses will serve the School of Computing and Innovation, School of Chemical Sciences and Technology, and the School of Science and Industry.
The academic blueprint for BSUAST includes the establishment of 12 Schools and 68 Departments, offering a total of 72 undergraduate programs upon completion of Phase I.
The 51 programs approved for take-off in the first year span various fields in agriculture, science, health, and technology.
