Dr. Sulaiman Muhammad Argungu (Jarman Kabi), who is also the National Organizing Secretary for the All Progressives Congress (APC), has sponsored the filling and interlocking of the premises of the Emir Muhammadu Mera Juma’at Mosque to provide a cleaner, safer, and more conducive environment for worshippers.
The project, which has already commenced, is aimed at eliminating mud and dust within the mosque premises while enhancing the comfort of thousands of Muslims who gather there for daily and congregational prayers.
According to a statement on Thursday by his Media Aide, Haliru Musa Goga, the development reflects Dr. Argungu’s commitment to promoting religious activities and supporting the provision of befitting worship facilities across the community.
The statement said the ongoing work involves the filling of the mosque’s surroundings and the installation of interlocking paving stones, with the project expected to cover about 6,100 square metres upon completion.
When completed, the initiative will transform the mosque environment into a modern, clean and accessible worship space, making it more convenient for worshippers, especially during the rainy season.
The statement described the intervention as another demonstration of Dr. Argungu’s dedication to religious development and community service, noting that the project is designed to create a dignified atmosphere for worship and improve the overall experience of worshippers.
It added that the mosque upgrade forms part of Dr. Argungu’s continued support for initiatives that promote religious values and community development.
Residents and worshippers are expected to benefit from the improved infrastructure, which will provide a more hygienic and comfortable environment for religious activities throughout the year.
