Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke, has been named the campaign coordinator for the Tinubu/Shettima presidential campaign in Osun State, according to a revised list of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council released on Tuesday morning.
Adeleke, who recently secured re-election on the platform of the Accord Party, is expected to lead the campaign for President Bola Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima in the state.
The appointment places Adeleke ahead of several APC chieftains in Osun, including former Governor Adegboyega Oyetola and Mr Bola Oyebamiji, among others.
The development comes amid preparations for the next presidential election and is likely to attract attention given Adeleke’s political affiliation with the Accord Party rather than the APC.
Further details on the circumstances surrounding his inclusion in the revised campaign council list were not immediately available.
