The Peoples Redemption Party (PRP) came a distant second with 270 votes, while the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) secured 108 votes. The Action Peoples Party (APP) polled 53 votes, while the Labour Party (LP) recorded 39 votes.
The result gave the APC candidate a wide margin over his challengers in the constituency.
In Bauchi State, the APC also secured victory in the Disina State Constituency bye-election, with its candidate, Yakubu Ali, polling 5,846 votes.
Ali defeated his closest challenger, the candidate of the Action Peoples Movement (APM), who scored 5,225 votes. The Peoples Redemption Party (PRP) came third with 3,701 votes.
The relatively close margin between the APC and APM candidates made the Bauchi contest one of the more competitive of the three bye-elections.
Similarly, in Gombe State, the APC candidate, Kallamu Usman MaiJama’a, won the Gombe/Kwami/Funakaye Federal Constituency bye-election with 41,121 votes.
The Labour Party (LP) finished second with 3,553 votes, while the Action Peoples Movement (APM) polled 872 votes.
The by-elections were conducted to fill vacant legislative seats in the affected constituencies following the circumstances that created the vacancies.
The victories give the APC additional representation in the respective legislative chambers, while the results also provide a snapshot of the voting patterns and political competition in the three states.
Electoral authorities are expected to complete the relevant processes arising from the polls and formally affirm the results in line with electoral procedures.
