To eradicate killer diseases that threaten children under 5 in the state and the country at large.
The primary healthcare development agency office in Kirikasamma has flagged off immunization exercises against polio, measles, and other diseases.
The local Immunization officer Muhammad Auwal said: “Children under 5 years will be immunized against the killer diseases.”
The United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF) Representative, Yunusah Abdullahi, said children under 5 have low immunity which is why they are targeted for polio immunization.”
He further urges parents to give maximum support and cooperation for the success of the exercise.
In his remarks, the District head of Kirikasamma, Umar Usman Ibrahim, represented by Wakili Muhammad Jiniya, urged community traditional titles to give maximum support and cooperation in their jurisdiction.
While flagging off the integrated measles campaign, the Council Chairman of Kirikasamma, Muhammad Maji Wakili, pledged to give much cooperation to ensure success has been recorded.
The Primary healthcare coordinator, Musa Abdullahi Diladige, urged them to take their children to the nearest primary healthcare center for free immunization.
