The Peoples Redemption Party (PRP) has dismissed allegations that it sold 69 nomination forms to former Kano State Governor, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, to facilitate a takeover of the party ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The allegation was made by Abdulkadir Guza, who claimed that Kwankwaso had procured the nomination forms as part of a plan to hijack the party’s structure.

However, speaking with journalists on Monday, the PRP Secretary, Musa Maigari, described the claim as false and baseless, insisting that all party positions had already been filled following the completion of the party’s primary elections.

“As it stands, all positions in PRP have been filled. Primary elections are over, and every political party has concluded its primaries,” Maigari said.

He further stated that the individual making the allegation has no affiliation with the party.

“The man who raised these allegations is not even our member. It is laughable that at a time when primaries are over, someone is still talking about nomination forms and primary elections,” he added.

Maigari maintained that there is no record of any transaction involving nomination forms between the party and Kwankwaso or any of his representatives.

He noted that the allegation appeared poorly timed, given that the PRP had already concluded its primary election process for the next electoral cycle.

The party secretary urged members of the public to disregard what he described as unfounded rumours and to rely only on information disseminated through the party’s official channels.

As of the time of filing this report, Kwankwaso’s camp had yet to issue an official response to the allegation.
