Former NFA Chairman, Ibrahim Galadima, Dies @ 78

A former Chairman of the Nigerian Football Association (NFA), Dr. Ibrahim Galadima, has passed away at the age of 78.

Dr. Galadima, who also held the traditional title of Galadiman Fagge in Kano Metropolitan, died on Saturday evening at a hospital in Kano State.

He was widely regarded as a key figure in Nigerian football administration, contributing significantly to the growth and development of the sport during his tenure as head of the NFA.

In a statement issued by his younger brother, Abba Galadima, funeral prayers for the late administrator are scheduled for Sunday, 19 April 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at the Fagge Juma’at Mosque in Fagge, Kano.

The deceased is survived by family members, associates, and numerous colleagues and admirers.

May Almighty Allah forgive his shortcomings and grant him Aljannatul Firdaus.
