The Emir of Kano, HRH Aminu Ado Bayero, has called on the Federal and State Governments and relevant authorities to intensify efforts toward safeguarding the lives, health, and property of citizens.

The Public Relations Secretary to the Emir, in a statement on Friday, said the monarch appealed while delivering his Eid-el-Fitr message shortly after the Eid prayer at his palace in Nassarawa, Kano.

He stressed that it is imperative for leaders to take into account the prevailing living conditions of the people and prioritize their most pressing needs.

The Monarch also urged the public to continue offering prayers for their leaders and to maintain goodwill toward them in the discharge of their responsibilities.

He prayed for sustained peace and prosperity in the country, asking Allah to grant leaders the wisdom and ability to address critical challenges facing the people, particularly in the areas of security, food affordability, and essential commodities.

Emir Bayero expressed appreciation to the Federal Government, members of the National Assembly, and State Assemblies for their support to citizens during the Ramadan period, and encouraged them to sustain such efforts.

He also commended Islamic scholars and Imams for their guidance and advocacy for righteousness during the fasting period, urging them to continue promoting truth and moral values.

The Emir further praised business leaders and wealthy individuals for their contributions to society, expressing hope that they would continue to ensure the affordability of food and essential goods for the benefit of the public.

He concluded by extending Eid-el-Fitr greetings to the Governor of Kano State, Abba Kabir Yusuf, government officials, and the entire Muslim community.
