The Director General of the Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board, Abubakar Ibrahim Matawalle, has reaffirmed his commitment to transparency, teamwork, and effective leadership by adopting an open-door policy for all Local Government Hajj Centre Officers.

He pledged during a strategic meeting with the officers, stressing that collaboration and mutual understanding are vital to ensuring the smooth conduct of Hajj operations across the state.

Drawing from his experience of leading pilgrims on three different occasions, Matawalle noted that strong synergy between the Board and Local Government Hajj Centres remains essential for successful Hajj exercises.

He expressed confidence that with unity, dedication, and divine grace, the Board would continue to record notable achievements.

“I have had the privilege of leading pilgrims three times and fully understand the responsibilities involved.

“With strong cooperation and commitment from all Local Government Hajj Centre Officers, we will continue to achieve successful Hajj operations by the grace of God,” he stated.

The Director General assured the officers of his readiness to listen, engage, and work closely with them under a leadership approach that promotes transparency, accountability, and inclusive decision-making.

The meeting also reviewed strategies aimed at improving coordination, enhancing service delivery to pilgrims, and strengthening communication channels between the Board and Local Government Hajj Centres.

The Board reiterated its commitment to safeguarding the welfare, safety, and spiritual fulfillment of pilgrims from Kano State.
