The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kogi State has released the schedule of activities for the upcoming Local Government Elections, assuring aspirants and party supporters of a transparent and credible process.
Speaking during a press briefing on Tuesday at the APC Secretariat in Lokoja, the State Chairman, Hon. (Dr.) Abdullahi Bello (Dollar), reaffirmed the party’s commitment to internal democracy and equal opportunity for all contestants.
He noted that the APC will strictly adhere to the timetable set by the Kogi State Independent Electoral Commission (SIEC).
Hon. Bello emphasized that the party remains rooted in unity and inclusiveness, urging aspirants to pursue their ambitions without fear or intimidation.
“Our party is committed to a credible process devoid of rancour. We encourage every aspirant to follow the guidelines set by the APC and SIEC. No one will be sidelined,” he said.
The chairman commended the loyalty and support of APC members and residents of Kogi State for Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo’s administration, describing their commitment as the bedrock of the party’s successes so far.
He noted that the achievements recorded by the Ododo administration were made possible through the cooperation of party faithful.
On behalf of the Governor and party leadership, Hon. Bello expressed gratitude and pledged continued delivery of democratic dividends across the state, irrespective of political affiliation.
“We are one family and one state. The administration remains focused on serving the people of Kogi State with fairness and equity,” he added.
With the elections approaching, he called for calm, unity, and peaceful conduct, stressing that sportsmanship should guide all aspirants. He noted that the true winners of the electoral process would ultimately be the people of Kogi State.
Hon. Bello also encouraged aspirants and supporters to direct complaints or inquiries to the party secretariat, assuring them of transparency and timely response at every stage.
The press briefing ended with a renewed appeal for vigilance and steadfastness in upholding the ideals that continue to strengthen the APC’s influence in the state.
