Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has reiterated that education remains the number one priority of his administration, with renewed investment in school safety, teacher recruitment, infrastructure and learning resources.

In a statement released by the Governor’s spokesperson, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, the Governor said the latest appointments in the education sector—including 1,600 watchmen and 400 Mathematics teachers—form part of ongoing reforms aimed at restoring excellence across public secondary schools.

He noted that the administration is committed to rebuilding the education system through strategic policies, expanded recruitment, better supervision, and continuous training of personnel.

Governor Yusuf commended the Commissioner of Education and the management of the Kano State Senior Secondary Schools Management Board (KSSSSMB) for their dedication to implementing government programmes.

He assured the public that more reforms, investments and interventions are underway to raise the quality of public education and secure a better future for the state’s children.
