Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has announced the immediate dismissal of all commissioners and public officers affected by the recent Supreme Court judgment.
The governor made the announcement on Wednesday during a valedictory session with members of his cabinet at the Government House, Port Harcourt, as part of activities marking Nigeria’s 65th Independence Anniversary.
In a statement signed by his spokesperson, Nelson Chukwudi, Fubara thanked his cabinet members for their service and contributions to the state’s development over the past two years.
He also called for unity and urged Nigerians to support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in building a peaceful, secure, and prosperous country.
Governor Fubara reaffirmed his commitment to serve Rivers people diligently, expressing gratitude for their support and extending Independence Day greetings to all Nigerians.
The decision takes immediate effect, officially relieving the affected officials of their appointments.
