The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) says it has received 1,910,000 applications for its ongoing paramilitary recruitment exercise, far exceeding the 30,000 positions available.
Figures released on the board’s recruitment portal on Monday show Kogi State topping the list with 116,243 applicants, followed by Kaduna (114,599) and Benue (110,644).
Other high-ranking states include Kano (89,421), Niger (79,567), Kwara (78,467), Katsina (76,917), and Nasarawa (76,677).
At the lower end, Lagos recorded 14,221 applications, while Bayelsa had the least with 11,680.
The CDCFIB said the shortlisting process is in progress and advised applicants to regularly check their emails and text messages for updates in the coming weeks.
