LASODA Trains Staff to Boost Service Delivery

The Lagos State Office for Disability Affairs (LASODA) has demonstrated its commitment to professional development and efficient service delivery by hosting a comprehensive one-day capacity-building training program for its entire staff.

Held on Monday, at the agency’s conference room, the initiative, sponsored by the Administration & Human Resources Department, aimed to enhance workplace productivity, discipline, and overall well-being.

The intensive program featured expert-led sessions designed to equip staff with vital skills and knowledge.

Mr. Hakeem Adebayo Olowu of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) delivered an insightful presentation on “Overview of Discipline in Public Service Rules,” underscoring the importance of ethical conduct and adherence to civil service regulations.

Mrs. Omolola Sonubi, LASODA’s Director of Administration & Human Resources, provided practical strategies for mental resilience and work-life balance in her session on “Stress Management: Understanding and Overcoming Life Challenges.”

The training concluded with Ms. Akinpelu, a senior officer within the agency, clarifying roles, responsibilities, and performance metrics in her segment, “Job Description and Target Setting,” ensuring staff efforts align with LASODA’s core objectives and mission.

Mrs. Adenike Oyetunde Lawal, the General Manager of LASODA, represented by the Director of Administration & Human Resources, commended the department’s proactive approach.

She emphasized that the training would “act as a catalyst that will contribute to employee growth and development to promote an efficient workforce capable of delivering inclusive services to Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) in Lagos State.”

Participants expressed appreciation for the programme, highlighting its immediate relevance to their daily duties and personal development.

LASODA reiterated its ongoing commitment to investing in human capital, aiming for consistently efficient and impactful job performance.
