Sokoto Poly Rector Inaugurates Water Scheme

The Rector Umaru Ali Shinkafi Polytechnic, Malam Aliyu Balarabe, has inaugurated a comprehensive new water scheme at the polytechnic as a mark of activities marking his hundred days in office.

According to him, would benefit the institution and the Rugar Waru community.

The scheme includes a 25,000-liter capacity water provision water tanks for the community, which would ensure reliable access to clean drinking water for residents.

“On the main campus, the female hostel will receive 18,000 liters of water to address the needs of the students and improve their living conditions.”

 “Additionally, the College of Administration’s student hostels will be supplied with 20,000 liters daily to alleviate the epileptic water supply experienced by the students.”

 The Rector while commissioning the project reaffirmed his commitment to fostering a strong relationship with the neighbouring Rugar Wauru, the host community.

 He expressed gratitude to Governor Ahmad Aliyu Sokoto for providing the opportunity to implement the new water project.

The Rector further emphasized that the initiative underscores the polytechnic’s dedication to improving infrastructure and promoting the well-being of its students and the wider community.

The institution has achieved a significant milestone in the past 100 days in the office of the Rector.

The occasion was witnessed by the Deputy Rector of Academic and Administration, the Bursar, some directors, and Rugger Wauru community representatives
