The Community Initiative for Climate Engagement and Development (CICEND) extends warm felicitations to the Muslim Ummah across Nigeria and beyond on the occasion of the Islamic New Year, 1447 AH.
In a statement on Thursday by the Executive Director of CICEND, Isiyaku Ahmed, urged Nigerians, particularly the Muslim community, to use the beginning of the new Hijri year as an opportunity to promote peace, strengthen national unity, and offer prayers for enduring security across the country.
“This sacred period offers an opportunity for renewed commitment to values that promote harmony, compassion, and environmental responsibility.
“CICEND urges communities to adopt climate-friendly practices as a way of preserving the earth, in line with Islamic teachings on environmental stewardship.
“We pray for a prosperous year filled with peace, security, and sustainable development for Nigeria,” the statement added.
