A statement by the Force spokesperson, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, said the commissioning is in line with the IGP’s commitment and broader initiative aimed at improving the operational capacity and efficiency of the Nigeria Police Force.

According to the statement, the IGP commissioned a state-of-the-art Police Mechanical Workshop equipped with cutting-edge facilities and technology.

“This is a critical support unit of the Force that ensures the optimal working condition of operational vehicles, enabling timely responses to emergencies and effective police operations.

“Furthermore, the Inspector-General of Police also commissioned 40 tactical and operational vehicles, including anti-riot water cannon trucks, and Armored Personnel Carriers (APCs), at the Force Headquarters Abuja, further augmenting the arsenal of the Force, boosting its operational efficiency.”

The Inspector-General of Police, while reassuring members of the public that the Police Force remains committed to responding effectively to any security threats, warns all individuals and groups threatening the peace and tranquility of the country that the Nigeria Police Force is coming for them and will proactively, strategically, swiftly and without hesitation run them out of town.
