The Faculty of Economics and Management Science, Bayero University Kano, will host the 4th international conference and doctoral colloquium((ICDC) on economic and development sustainable models at the university.

The chairman of the organising committee, Prof. Kabir Hamid, made this known over the weekend in Kano while briefing newsmen on the activities for the event, noting that it will commence on Tuesday, January 21st, 2024.

According to him, the conference theme, „Management for Sustainable Development in Times of Economic Uncertainties: Issues, Perspectives, and Challenges,“ will feature various local and international speakers who will engage in professional discussions on accounting, economics, public administration, management sciences, finance, and business strategy, among other disciplines.

While emphasising the timelines of the conference looking at how global economies continue to grapple with uncertainties driven by inflation and political tension, among others, he said it would provide a platform for discourse on strategic management approaches, address contemporary economic and financial challenges, explore innovative solutions for resilience and stability, highlight the impact of digital transformation and identify actionable strategies for promoting entrepreneurship, financial inclusion, and ethical investment practices.

“The Conference will serve as a platform for thought leaders, policymakers, academics, and industry professionals to engage in meaningful discussions on sustainable economic models, financial resilience, and innovative management practices that can enhance economic stability and inclusive growth,“ he added.
