Kano: Ma’aji Goes On Project Inspection Tour

Kano State Commissioner, Ministry for Public Procurement Project Monitoring and Evaluation (MPPPM&E), Comrade Nura Iro Ma’aji, continued his planned project monitoring supervision.

On Thursday, he toured several ongoing constructions of 5-kilometer Roads and the Kwankwasiyya Gida-Gida Blocks of School Project.

He also visited Bichi, Tsanyawa, Ghari, Makoda, and Danbatta Local Governments.

At Tsanyaw, he was received by the Education Secretary, Tsanyawa local education authority who took him around the ongoing construction of the Kwankwasiyya Gida-Gida Blocks of 4 Classrooms at Government Secondary School, Stadium.

Other projects visited included Yusuf Maitama Sule College of Education, Ghari, Central Primary School Ghari, Tagwaye Primary School, Danbatta, Kantudu Primary School, Makoda, Agricultural Skill Acquisition Center Tukui, 5 KM Road in Makoda, and Danbatta local governments.

The Commissioner expressed satisfaction with the quality, standard, and progress achieved in most of the project sites visited.  

He said: “Today, we inspected 9 number projects, we are very much happy, and impressed with the level of work and commitment of the contractors.

“I assure you that with this monitoring, the government will have value for money in all the projects the government is executing.”

Comrade Ma’aji called on the contractors to speed up work.

He then promised to closely track down whatever the contractors are doing in the project sites across the 44 local governments in line with the agreement reached.
