The Governor of Kano State, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to ensuring a steady, reliable water supply across urban centers while continuing to drive people-oriented infrastructure projects statewide.
He made the statement during a Maulud celebration organized by Madrasat Dr. Adam Kamaluddeen Adam Namaaji, amid a series of visits to eight prominent Islamic scholars (Ulamas) from Monday evening into early Tuesday morning.
Highlighting ongoing utility interventions, the Governor emphasized that the administration has awarded the contract to the highly qualified and vast experiences Company in the world, they are working round the clock on major resuscitation works at the Tamburawa and Challawa Waterworks to restore constant urban distribution.
Beyond the metropolitan efforts on water supply, Governor Yusuf outlined progress across rural water infrastructure, where multiple rehabilitation projects are completed already operational while others at advance stage.
Key facilities—including the Guzugu Waterworks in Kabo, the Joda Waterworks in Gabasawa, and the Wudil Waterworks—are currently delivering uninterrupted water supply to surrounding communities.
”Our administration remains fully committed to delivering public goods and executing targeted programs that directly improve the daily lives and living conditions of our citizens,” Governor Yusuf said.
Speaking earlier at the event, Khalifa Dr. Adam Kamaluddeen Adam commended the Governor’s administration for its visible achievements in road construction and public infrastructure across Kano State.
Addressing urban utility concerns, Dr. Adam noted public reports of the administration’s N21 billion investment into revitalizing the Tamburawa and Challawa facilities.
He offered prayers for the seamless execution of these water projects and wished the Governor continued success in the overall transformation of Kano State.
