The Yobe State Government has distributed agricultural inputs to 1000 families displaced by Boko Haram insurgency attacks.
The beneficiaries were selected from the Mallam Dunari community, to improve their living conditions.
Distributing the items to the beneficiaries, Governor Mai Mala Buni, said the state government, through the State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA), is targeting the vulnerable communities in its initiatives.
He said the distribution of the inputs was aimed to boost agricultural productivity and support the livelihoods of vulnerable households.
He added that the initiative is part of his effort to ensure resilience and enhance food security across Yobe State.
Governor Buni has reaffirmed the commitment of his administration to build 150 houses to resettle the displaced communities of Mallam Dunari.
The distributed items are seedlings, water pumps, fertilizers, insecticide and other agricultural inputs.
