The wife of the Indonesian Ambassador to Nigeria, Mrs. Usra Hendra Harahap has reaffirmed her country’s commitment to fostering bilateral relations with Kebbi State, specifically in areas of Islamic Education, Agriculture, and Livestock development.
The Envoy’s spouse affirmed this during a visit to the First Lady of Kebbi State, Zainab Nasare Nasir Idris, at her residence in Birnin Kebbi on Saturday.
Mrs. Harahap expressed delight about the warm reception accorded her by Hajiya Nasare, saying that her husband has paid a similar visit to the Kebbi state Governor.
Speaking through an interpreter, she informed her host, that Indonesia has begun the process of artificial insemination and embryo transfer in Kebbi, designed to increase meat and milk production in the state.
“Indonesia is also partnering with Kebbi to establish an Insemination Centre equipped with state-of-the-art facilities to enhance livestock development, train 50 professionals, and boost agricultural production.
“This initiative will not only improve meat and milk production but also build the capacity of Kebbi’s workforce,” she said.
In her remarks, the First Lady of Kebbi State, Zainab Nasare Nasir Idris, commended Mrs. Harahap, her husband, and the accompanying team of experts for the three-day visit to Kebbi.
She welcomed the collaborative effort between Kebbi and Indonesia on enhancing livestock development, and agricultural production.
Nasare spoke about strengthening partnerships on Zakkat and Islamic Education for a decent society and economic prosperity.
