The US has welcomed Chevron’s return to Libya and resumption of its cooperation with the National Oil Corporation.
The US Embassy in Libya confirmed on its website that this partnership will contribute to increased production, modernization of infrastructure, job creation, and the opening of avenues for further US investment in various sectors of the Libyan economy.
The embassy stated that a unified and stable Libya can unlock its enormous potential, attract sustainable investment, and ensuring that all Libyans, from east to west and north to south, benefit from their country’s resources, while creating new opportunities for both the Libyan and American people.
