A Trailer loaded with watermelons from Yobe state on its way to the Southern part of the country somersaulted along Hadejià, Nguru Road.
An eyewitness said the accident happened in the early hours of Tuesday.
The incident happened around 9 a.m. between Kachakama and Jibori villages of Malam Madori and Kirikasamma areas.
Reports gathered that the accident was caused by over-speeding.
According to the driver, Ahmed Ibrahim, his spare drivers were seriously injured and taken to Hadejià Hospital for treatment as no deaths were recorded.
The red overturned DAF trailer with registration Number FGE-592-XB crossed and blocked the main Nguru Road before it was removed for at least a day.
Counting the loss, the chairman Watermelon Association Kirikasamma Branch, Shuaibu Madaci, said a trailer load of watermelons is estimated at N10 million depending on their sizes.
The Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) Hadejià Unit Command officers were seen at the scene controlling vehicular movement.
