The Chief Magistrate’s Court, Wuse Zone 6, has called Nollywood actress turned politician Tonto Dikeh and her bodyguard, Gbenga, on charges of assault and criminal trespass.

The two defendants were required to appear in court on August 24, 2024, to respond to the charges against them, according to the court summons dated August 6, 2024.

Elvis Abuyere, the proprietor of an automobile dealership located in Abuja and the Chief Executive of Skyewise Group Limited, filed the lawsuit (case number CR/359/2024), which Punch was able to get.

According to Abuyere, Tonto contacted the automaker in January to buy a brand new Changan Uni-K 2023 model from Mikano Motors.

After learning that Mikano was their dealership partner, the complainant paid N85 million in full settlement for the car to Mikano, agreeing that Dikeh would pay the balance in installments within three months of receiving the car.

Tonto reportedly made her first deposit for the used 2008/2009 Lexus, worth N37 million, and an additional payment of N3.5 million.

But the movie star broke the deal by not paying the remaining amount by the end of April, when the payment window closed.

After all attempts to collect the balance were unsuccessful, Abuyere took the automobile back from Dikeh on May 1. Afterwards, Dikeh paid N20 million, N17 million, and N5 million, leaving N2.1 million as an unpaid amount.

The automobile was taken for maintenance after the actress called the automaker on July 30 to have it serviced. The vehicle firm sought the remaining N2.7 million from her when the repairs were finished.

But she was accused of conducting “criminal trespass” when she and her bodyguard and two women forcibly invaded the complainant’s Maitama, Abuja, company.

Additionally, the actress is accused of assaulting the complainant and some staff members of his company.

The four individuals disrupted business operations at the car company, damaged property, and threatened to use social media to harm the complainant’s business.
